Born and raised in South Florida, Kellie was a student at Coral Springs Academy of Dance for 11 years. As a competitive dancer, she trained in jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet, musical theatre, and pointe. During her last 3 years as a student, Kellie taught tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop.
In April 2016, Kellie graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Science in Health Education. Throughout her time at UF, she took various classes to complete a minor in Dance. In 2012 she even joined the cast of Agbedidi for West African performances in Gainesville and Miami. During this time Kellie also served leadership roles in Stomp the Swamp (rhythmic tap company) and Danza Dance Company. As the President of Danza she was responsible for 60+ peer dancers and producing a student-run show each semester. Kellie is featured in Dance Teacher Magazine’s December 2014 issue. She used this time as a member and leader of both companies to begin her repertoire as a choreographer. Additionally, for the 2015-2016 dance season, Kellie taught students of all ages in a variety of styles at IndepenDance studio.
Most recently, Kellie has moved back to South Florida to continue teaching at her home studio and has also joined the Ballet Elite family. Kellie is incredibly grateful and excited to continue sharing her passion for dance! She hopes her new students will enjoy learning to dance with her and share her passion and energy.
